  GET ENOUGH OXYGEN BY THESE SIMPLE METHODS

God had gifted us with a pair of spongy air filled organ located on either side of the chest known as lungsBreathing feeds oxygen to every cell in the body to survive.

Functions of lungs:

Nostril inhale air passes down to trachea (windpipe) into the lungs and passes through its tubular branches, called bronchi, then bronchi divide into smaller and minute branches bronchioles, finally becoming microscopic. The bronchioles eventually end in clusters of microscopic air sacs called alveoli

In the alveoli, exchange of gas takes place, oxygen that we breath in is absorbed into the blood and Carbon dioxide, a waste product of metabolism, travels from the blood to the alveoli, where it can be exhaled.

How lungs can be damage:

 Lungs can get into trouble when lungs build-up of toxins and tar in the lungs caused by environmental pollutants, allergens, dust and cigarette smoke and diseases such as asthma, COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) infections like influenza, pneumonia, tuberculosislung cancer.

How do I know if my lungs are damaged:

* Difficulty in breathing

* Shortness of breath during simple activities

* Chest pain when breathing

* Dizziness with a change in activity.

* Persistent Cough

* Wheezing

* Pain in the air way

Steps to restore back to healthy lungs:

Simple Deep Breathing:  Increase your lung capacity, inhalation  consciously lowers the diaphragm (muscle, which separates the organs in the abdomen from the lungs), expand your ribs, letting your ribs to open like wings, allowing the chest to expand

After this, exhale as completely as possible by letting the chest fall, then contracting the ribs and, lift up the diaphragm and expel the last bit of air.

Increase Length of Breathing: You can also increase your lung capacity by increasing the length (equally) of your inhalations and exhalations. Avoid straining or being uncomfortable, it should be a gradual and easy process.

Good posture: As the lungs are like sponge, they are squeezed when we stoop while sitting, they only take up the room that you make for them, sit tall and reach overhead, to make more room for your lungs

Staying Hydrated:  Staying well hydrated by taking enough fluids throughout the day helps keep the mucosal linings in the lungs lubricated, this helps the lungs function better.

Laughing : Laughing gives exercise to the abdominal and increase lung capacity.

Staying Active / Exercise:  When you increase your daily activity you get three things done at once: healthy lungs, a healthier heart and a better mood. Exercise like brisk walk at least for 30 minutes

Wear loose inner/outfit: Since the lungs are soft structures, tight clothing inhabit free movement of lungs while breathing.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy relies on its thermal effects in order to induce healing. It takes advantage of the body’s reaction to cold or hot stimuli, these sensations and effects are then carried deeper into the skin by nerves.

Th Thus increase blood flow circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, help to open airways and help white blood cells circulate to the affected areas, eliminate toxins and easy to expectorate phlegm, provide hydrostatic effects, dilates and constricts the vessels, reliefs the congested area, and also stimulate the immune system, hence promotes healing by improving respiratory infections.

Method:

Fomentation of chest and back hydrotherapy: warm water-3 min, ice water 30 sec

do 3-5 times consecutively -2 times a day end up with mustard oil + garlic massage. while fomentation place a wet cloth on forehead.

Lying on Prone position:

 "Proning is basically having patients turn over onto their stomach or sides while lying down.

Recent study conducted in New York regarding the effectiveness of self-proning came out with promising results. The study was based on quick proning of patients that presented with moderate to severe ARDS (Acute respiratory distress syndrome ) after an incident of COVID-19. The patients were put into the prone positions for about 18 hours a day while the breathing cycles started showing improvements after five minutes of assuming the position of awake proning.

How self proning helps:

* Applying prone positioning helps in improving the oxygen saturation instantly.

* An intrapulmonary shunt prevents the proper oxygenation of blood in the lungs. The areas shunted are prone to hypoxia and may result in tissue damage. By prone positioning, this shunt is reduced and lung compression is decreased. Therefore, oxygen levels improve

 * It maintains an optimal respiratory rate and enhances the gaseous exchange in a favorable range

* Ventilation stays homogenous throughout the lung parenchyma, and redistribution of the blood flow is improved with higher efficacy, which, in turn, improves the ventilation/perfusion ratio

* No specialized instruments are needed for the procedure, and it can be done easily in emergency situations

 * Helps decrease the accumulation of excess interstitial fluid in the dorsal part of the lungs. Lying on the stomach directs the fluid to collect in the ventral region where there is comparatively less perfusion

  Recommended position:

HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT FOR WANT OF OXYGEN

Aspidosperma Q - 20 drops hourly with warm water.

Avoid mucus forming foods  like refine food products like cake, deep fried items, moida bread, sugary items, snacks, sweets, coloured juice, fast food, non-veg, and also curd, banana will aggravate respiratory complains and no sour items after dinners for some people cold and cough might aggravate.
