MALARIA
Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes, Parasite made up of a single cell that multiplies in the red blood cells of humans and in the intestines of mosquitoes.
When a female mosquito bites an infected person, male and female forms of the parasite are ingested with human blood. These male and female forms of the parasite mate in the mosquito's gut, and the infectious forms are passed on to another human when the mosquito feeds again.
Malaria can be transmitted to humans by 4 species of the Plasmodium parasite, namely:
1. P. falciparum,
2. P. vivax,
3. P. ovale and
4. P. malariae.
The first two are the most common. Plasmodium falciparum is the most dangerous of these parasites; the infection it causes can kill quickly (within days), while other species cause illness, but usually do not kill the infected person.
(Falciparum malariae is found mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and Oceania.)
You can only get malaria from an infected mosquito bite or a blood transfusion from an infected person. Malaria can also be passed from mother to fetus during pregnancy.
What malaria does to the body?
Symptoms usually appear 10–15 days after the infective mosquito bite. The first symptoms are:
1. Fever.
2. Headache.
3. Chill & sweat
4. Poor Appetite
5. Abdomen pain
6. Muscle soreness
With severe malaria frequently develop one or more of the following symptoms:
7. Severe anemia. (Malaria may result in not having enough red blood cells for an adequate supply of oxygen to your body's tissues)
8. Respiratory distress.
9. Cerebral malaria.
10. Multi-organ failure.(Malaria can damage the kidneys or liver or cause the spleen to rupture. Any of these conditions can be life-threatening.)
TREATMENT:
I. Worm wood (artemisinin plant): 100% effective, Traditional Chinese medicine has used this miracle plant for centuries with success and without resistance.
- Steep 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of dried wormwood leaves in one cup (250 mL) of boiling water.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes; the longer you steep, the more bitter the flavor.
- Add peppermint, honey, or lemon juice to taste (not required)
Note: You should avoid wormwood if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking certain medications. Additionally, people with epilepsy and kidney problems shouldn’t take it. Its long-term safety is unknown.
II. 1- Ocimum basilicum (mayang maton)
2- Seven lemons
3- Skin of the pineapple
4- Lemongrass

6. Cinchona bark: One way is by taking quinine, extract from cinchona bark. Quinine will generally eliminate the malaria, but a mild to severe hearing loss may result.
7. Hydrotherapy: The hot and cold water treatments. This takes some work. The result is equally good, but no hearing loss occurs. During the fever, give cold applications(cool wet sheet packs, sponge him off with cool water). During the chills give him hot applications (hot Packs)
8. Black Cumin:
Andrographis/chirata for anti malaria
