STROKE
A STROKE is not a heart attack, but a brain attack. An artery to the brain is obstructed or small blood vessels inside the brain burst.

The body is seventy-five percent water. The vital organs are at least seventy percent water. The human brain and blood is eighty percent water. Other body fluids such as digestive juices, perspiration and urine are ninety percent water.
The Bible says that, “The life of the flesh is in the blood.” Leviticus 17:11. WATER taken internally increases circulation by thinning the blood. It also increases oxygen and blood volume. The more perfect the circulation, the more wastes are discharged from the body through the kidneys, skin and lungs. WATER is also effective in reversing constipation. WATER is essential for normal bowel function.
UPON RISING, drink two glasses of pure distilled water at room temperature with half a lemon in each glass. During the day, one should drink water between meals being careful not to drink too close to mealtime. From one hour before each meal to two hours after each meal, we should not drink any water. I am conscious that, there are many researchers who say the leaves are completely not good for pregnant women. But from practical experience, I recommend minimum doses for pregnant women. These minimum doses are beneficial to them.
*Note: The problem here is the doze and not the leaf...For example, honey is good and beneficial to pregnant women, but higher doses will cause abortions. Same goes to potent plants like guava leaves and a host of others... There's no proven evidence that they are harmful to babies through mothers' milk but mere assumptions. I read what others publish too, then compare with my long time practical experience before concluding...

The free use of sugar in any form tends to clog the system and is not unfrequently a cause of disease. (CH 154)
6)Drink plenty of water.
In health and in sickness, pure water is one of Heaven's choicest blessings... Drunk freely, it helps to supply the necessities of the system and assists nature to resist disease. (MH 237)
7) Use a variety of hydrotherapy treatments.
There are many ways in which water can be applied to relieve pain and check disease. (MH 237)
8) Use no alcohol, tobacco, or caffeine.
When intoxicating liquor is used, the system is not able to resist disease in its original God-given power as a healer. (MM 11)
9) Dress warmly in cold weather.

10) Minimize stress.
The relation that exists between the mind and the body is very intimate. When one is affected, the other sympathizes... Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, distrust, all tend to break down the life forces and to invite decay and death. (MH 241)
11) Obtain adequate rest.

It would have been better if, from the first, all drugs had been kept out of our sanitariums, and use had been made of such simple remedies as found in pure water, pure air, sunlight, and some of the simple herbs growing in the field. NO EATING BEFORE SLEEPING
We are not nocturnal animals; when we sleep our entire metabolism slows down. The reclining position causes the weight of the internal organs to press against the very large nerve trunks on each side of the spinal column and shuts off the mechanism that keeps the digestive system working.
When you lie down at night, the stomach should have finished all its work of digestion so that it can join the rest of the body in enjoying its needed rest. But if you eat before you sleep, the digestive organs have to work through the night. The sleep is often disturbed with unpleasant dreams, and in the morning you awake un-refreshed.
Greater reforms should be seen among the people who claim to be looking for the soon appearing of Christ. Health reform is to do among our people a work which it has not yet done. There are those who ought to be awake to the danger of meat eating, who are still eating the flesh of animals, thus endangering the physical, mental, and spiritual health. Many who are now only half converted on the question of meat eating will go from God’s people, to walk no more with them. (CCh 230.7)
Among those who are waiting for the coming of the Lord, meat eating will eventually be done away; flesh will cease to form a part of their diet. We should ever keep this end in view and endeavor to work steadily toward it. I cannot think that in the practice of flesh eating we are in harmony with the light which God has been pleased to give us. CG 383.2
HOW CAN YOU PROTECT AGAINST EXCESS STRESS?
1. Eliminate fear from your life.
2. Respect yourself and love others - friend or foe.
3. Exclude all competition from your life.
4. Compete only with yourself.
5. Give yourself cushions of time.
6. Relax. Take time for yourself.
7. Exercise.
8. Rest.
9. Sleep. If you are a sleep cheat reform.
10. Diet.
11. Sunshine.
12. Water.
13. Fresh air.
14. Temperance.
15. Trust in God.
