WET SHEET PACK
Step 1: Pre warm the client (warm water bath)
Step 2: Wet cotton sheet in cold water (ice)
and wring
Step3: Place wet sheet on dry blanket
(woolen) on bed
Step4: client lies on wet sheet (goal skin contact wet sheet)
Step 5: Wrap wet sheet around client
neck to toes
Step 6: Finally wrap the blanket
Step 7: Make sure clients feet stay
warm (Place water bag against the feet.)
Step 8: Make sure client is comfortable
HOW TO WRAP WET SHEET PACK


WET SHEET PACK STAGES
1.COOLING STAGE:
*Leave
client for 20 minutes/until he feels warm
•Feels warm, comfortable, even sleeps
•This stage is used for reducing fevers
Note: Discontinue if the patient
doesn't feel warn within 20-30 minutes.(no sufficient vitality for this
treatment)
2. NEUTRAL STAGES:
•Leave
client for 30 minutes to an hour
•Remove
when he feels warm not yet sweat.
•This
stage is used for insomnia (sleep problem), relaxation, psychiatric problems
3. HEATING STAGE:
•Leave client until he begins to perspire, leave additional
1-2 hours
•This stage is used for detoxification (For people struggling
with nicotine/alcohol/gout/illnesses
such as colds/flu/bronchitis/jaundice
FINALLY:
After removal of wet sheet pack brief friction rub over his skin follow
with sponge bath.

HOT FOOT BATH
Increase blood flow to legs diverts excess blood from brain
and torso, thus lessening congestion of the brain and internal organs
INDICATION:
1. Congestive Headache
2. Throat and ear Inflammations
3. Chest congestion
4. Dysmenorrhea
5. Congestion of Internal organs.
6. Pelvic Congestion
7. Chill person to warm up
8. Chronically cold feel
9. High Blood Pressure
10. Insomnia
CONTRAINDICATION:
1.Diabetes
(especially poor circulation to the legs and feet)
2.Buerger’s Disease
3.Frost bite
4.Arteriosclerosis of lower legs
5.Loss feeling in feet or legs
6.Unconsciousness
7.Peripheral vascular disease
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
1. Hot water 10 L and ice water
2. Bucket
3. Indoor Thermometer (must for diabetic
patient)
4. Towel for cold compress
5. Chair
PROCEDURE:
STEP 1: Make the person sit on the chair
STEP 2: Put the hot water in the bucket (105°F to 110°F) For diabetic patient 102°F
STEP 3: Place the person both the legs inside the water.
STEP 4: wring out ice water deep towel and
place on person head and neck if the treatment is for congestive headache,
sinus, ear inflammation, sore throat or nose bleed.
STEP 5: Person should dip for 10- 30 minutes
(as needed hot water should be added to keep water from cooling down)
STEP 6: As leg is taken out, pour cold water
over their feet and rub out the leg with cloth.
STEP 7: If the treatment is for congestion to
torso(chest, pelvis, internal organs, or warm up generally, wrap the person
with a blanket during the treatment
