When should weaning be started?
Weaning, should start when your baby is around 6 months old. Should begin giving your baby soft fruits, veggies. You can then progress to other foods as you see different coming up.
What is a good age to stop breastfeeding?
The World Health Organization recommends that all babies be exclusively breastfed for 6 months, then gradually introduced to appropriate foods after 6 months while continuing to breastfeed for 2 years or beyond.
Can I give my 2 month old baby water?
"Water is not recommended for infants under six months old because even small amounts will fill up their tiny bellies and can interfere with their body's ability to absorb the nutrients in breast milk .
Can you give 2 month old cows milk?
According to the American Academy of Paediatrics (AAP), cow's milk should not be provided if your child is less than 1 year of age. Only breast milk should be given to the baby for the first 6 months of life and can be continued till 12 months of life.
What happens if you give a baby cow's milk too early?

What alternate can be given to baby?
you can give milk alternatives like soy, coconut, cashew & almond, or oat milk.
Coconut milk (miracle liquid) is the next best thing to breast milk, there is no substitute for breast milk. Although there is nothing as healthy as breast milk for a newborn, there are chances that maybe unable to feed your baby.
Cow milk contains lactose, which is a type of sugar that is difficult for many people to digest. However, coconut milk contains no lactose, thereby making it digestible and easy to break down.
When and how to introduce coconut milk in your Infant's diet ?
You can start giving coconut milk to your baby when he turns eight months of age or when he starts on solids. The first time you give your baby coconut milk, start with just a couple of spoons to check your baby is not allergic to it. you can then start by using coconut milk instead of cow milk.
Method:
Break the coconut, and collect the coconut water in a bowl, and keep aside
Grate the coconut and then boil it with some water
Mix the coconut water with the boiled coconut pulp and grind it till it forms a thick paste
Pour this paste into a clean muslin cloth and squeeze it
Collect the coconut milk in a clean bowl and allow it to cool
Health benefits of coconut milk for babies
1. May help in the brain development of the baby: High fat content saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated
2. May strengthen immune system: minerals and vitamins in coconut milk is chock full of them
3. Works as an antimicrobial, which protects from harmful bacteria, virus, and germs
4. Kill intestine worms: coconut milk contains antimicrobial lipids, capric acid and lauric acid that can kill these worms
Natural methods to increase mothers milk ?
Increase intake of the following items
Fenugreek seeds, sesame seeds, flax seed, garlic, oatmeal, ragi millets, brewers yeast, papaya, chickpeas, dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli, lettuce, alfalfa, kale, fennel plants, take lots of vegetable broths, stay hydrated
Hydrotherapy: Hot and cold fomentation around the chest. Daily twice follow with olive oil massage on the breast.
