JESUS CONFORM TO NATURES LAW
The offerings presented to the Lord were to be without blemish. These offerings represented Christ, and from this it is evident that Jesus Himself was free from physical deformity. He was the “lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Peter 1:19. His physical structure was not marred by any defect; His body was strong and healthy. And throughout His lifetime He lived in conformity to nature's laws. Physically as well as spiritually, He was an example of what God designed all humanity to be through obedience to His laws. DA
Ellen White: “If the sick and the suffering will do only as well as they know in regard to living out the principles of health reform perseveringly, then they will in nine cases out of ten recover from their ailments” ( MM, p. 223.[MS 22, 1887]).
NEWSTART are Health Laws given during our Creation by God. These 8 Health Laws are necessary for health and during illness. And these are the main fundamental laws that ensures us holistic approach for health and happiness. Let us know them a brief.
Pure air, sunlight. abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power,- these are the true remedies. Every person should have a knowledge of nature's remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involve in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge. CD 301
We cannot be too often reminded that health does not depend on chance. It is a result of obedience to law.
The use of natural remedies requires an amount of care and effort that many are not willing to give. Nature's process of healing and upbuilding is gradual, and to the impatient it seems slow. The surrender of hurtful indulgences requires sacrifice. But in the end it will be found that nature, untrammeled, does her work wisely and well. Those who persevere in obedience to her laws will reap the reward in health of body and health of mind.
1. Genesis 1:29 "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat (food)." this is our original diet that our Creator gave to all human race never to eat the flesh but have dominion, knowing there will be many pestilence and plague by ingesting them. (Because one among the main causes of diseases are from non-veg)
During our treatment let us try to avoid non-veg and its products. If you wish you can continue when you become alright.
2. Despite of eating well balanced diet why our Immune System and hemoglobin count is low. The problem lies here we have health issues mostly because we are overeating giving no rest for our stomach. we do not know what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat.
3. There should be 5 hours gap between our meals (youth-old age). No snacks, even a sweet in between our meals. It takes 2-3 hrs. for digestion and stomach needs some rest. Night meals should be taken early at least 2-3 hours before retirement. Don't go to bed just after your meals. Super should be always light.
4. Chew your meals well, the longer you chew the better metabolism & assimilation.
5. Raw diets are very important to have balance nutrients in our body, like carrot, radish, beets, cabbage, sprouts, cucumber, coriander leafs, lettuce, mint, curry leaves, flax seeds, sesame seeds, perilla seeds, pumkin seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, fruits etc. Leafy Greens should be taken 4-5 days/week.
6. Avoid fast foods, packed and processed foods & snacks, deep fried items, refine items like maida (its products), white sugar, free flow table salt (try to use rock salt, pink or black salt) pickle, white polish rice (try eating brown rice, or unpolished, millets) excess use of veg oils, stale food.
2. EXERCISE:
1. God put man to dress the Eden garden (genesis 2:15) that shows that man should be sober and active. Sedentary lifestyle keeps blood flow inactive that body is deprive for leading to unhealthy blood circulation which also leads to lifestyle diseases.
2. When a man is active or exercise the circulatory system is uniformly supplying all surplus (nutrients, oxygen, water) that the body needs.
3. Regular physical exercise or activity improve your muscle & bone strength which boost your endurance & immune system, digestion, painful menstruation, Reduces blood cholesterol level, enable to sleep better at night.
4. We need around 5000-6000 steps daily, that is nearly 1 hr. 100 steps per minute
DAILY EXERCISE
“I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following.” Luke 13:33.
EXERCISE is one of the greatest remedies for stress. It relaxes the body, promotes sound sleep, and relieves tension and anxiety.
WITHOUT DAILY EXERCISE the blood will become a stagnant pool of waste because of the lack of adequate circulation. It would be like never changing the oil in your car. Proper circulation is absolutely essential to the arthritic. Not only does exercise increase blood circulation, it also increases circulation within the lymph channels. The lymph is full of white blood cells and carries away the broken down products of fat metabolism.
ANOTHER BENEFIT OF EXERCISE is that it is a key element in God’s plan for obesity. WALKING IS THE BEST EXERCISE because it brings all of our organs into use.
1. Our body water contain is of 75%. Water carries our nutrients and also makes the blood moves steadily. It one of the greatest detoxifier and boost our immune system, shortens the duration of sickness, and a great pain killer too, also makes us active. Water contains most of the minerals that our body needs (Calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, iron, zinc etc.)
2. When we are in health or in sickness pure water is one of heaven’s choicest blessings. Its proper use promotes health.
3. Water can be also dangerous if we don't know when to use it for example when we take water with meals that blocks the secretion of salivary juice and also it dissolve gastric juice making it neutral which is secreted for digestion in the stomach making the food fermented leading to indigestion, acidity, bloatedness, fullness further more leading to gastric/peptic ulcer.
4. Avoid very hot or ice water for drinking giving more work for the stomach because they have to bring them down to stomach temperature.
5. How much water should I drink per day? For every 23 kg of body weight you need 1 liters of water/day and should be taken only 1/2 an hr. before and 2-3 hrs. after your meals. In this modern age pure water is replaced by soft drink, alcohol, beer, preservative fruit juice which is not good for health instead gives our body a bad effects.
6. Water is also use for a treatment known as Hydrotherapy (that will be taught according to your illness).
4. SUNSHINE:
1. God created the sun on His 4th day of creation for the human kind Gen 1:16. Every living thing in our world is dependent on sunlight.
“To the sick it is worth more than silver or gold to lie in the sunshine or in the shade of the tree.” Counsel on Health, P. 166
2. Sunlight increases the capacity of the blood to carry more oxygen and take it to your body tissues.
3. Sunlight also strengthens the body's immune system. Due to the fact that sunlight striking the body increases the number of white blood cells in the body.
4. Basal body metabolism is thus increased and more calories are burned up.
5. Children becomes greater interest in their classes, attended more regularly and were more alert.
6. General feeling of well being and more cheerful outlook on life.
7. The best time to expose to sunlight is between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. two to three times every week is enough for your body to produce all of the D3 it needs. Sunscreen can block vitamin D production.
5. TEMPERANCE:
1. Right in the middle of the Eden garden God planted a Tree of Knowledge Good and Evil, that is where the lesson of temperance has been taught.
With our first parents, intemperate desire resulted in the loss of Eden. Temperance in all things has more to do with our restoration to Eden than men realize.
There is a saying "Temperate man makes man perfect and healthy"
2. True temperance teaches us to abstain (give up) entirely from that which is injurious, to use judiciously (thoughtfully) only healthful and nutritious articles of food.
3. In order to succeed physically, mentally, and morally in life, and to preserve health, temperance in all things is necessary- temperance in labor, temperance in eating.(How to live p 57)
4. Here are some of the harmful things that should be avoided:
* Do not use tobacco in any form, for it is a slow but powerful poison.
* Totally avoid alcoholic drink
* Stay away from poisonous substances and toxic drugs. This includes vapors and fumes
* Beware of addicting substances and never indulge in them like tea, caffeine products injure your organs, cola drinks gradually melt your teeth.
* The heavily sugared foods (such as candy, ice cream, cake, and chewing gum) are better left alone
* The Bible says do not eat blood and fat
* Do not use greasy food this include butter, ghee, margarine, and animal fats
* Any oil that is solid or semi solid at room temperature should never be put into the body.
* Be aware of trans-fats. These are the partially hydrogenated oils that have been added in many foods.
* Non-veg are for carnivorous animals because our digestive tracts are much longer than those of dogs, tigers, and other flesh eating animals.
* Try to avoid diary products, egg, processed and preservative & fast foods
* Do not cook food in Aluminum, they are poisonous to the body.
* Avoid refined products like white flour or Maida, white sugar, white rice, refine oil, free flow table salt.
* Baking powder and soda should not be used in food preparation, for they damage the delicate lining of the stomach.
* Avoid automobile and tobacco fumes, car exhaust contains lead and cigarette smoke has many dangerous chemical, in addition to nicotine.
* Chlorinated water leads to atherosclerosis, And fluoridated water injures your bones, teeth, and nerves.
* Do not eat or drink things that are too hot or too cold, both upsets the stomach and weaken the digestive system
* Maintain a balance of rest and exercise not too much work or too little.
* Try to have a set time for rising, family worship, prayer, drinking your water, mealtime, evening walk, bed time, etc. relaxes the mind, and helps us work more efficiently.
* Cleanliness of body, clothing, bedding, and house are important to good health.
* Tight compressions about the waist (such as belts, corset (tight dress belt
around waist) can induce later pelvic organ disease, Wear clothing that will avoid chilling of the arms and legs.
* Refuse to live a life of anxious concern, Worry wears out the life forces, If you cannot solve in it five minutes, give it to God in payer.
* Above all things, keep cheerful, and keep close to God and His written word. Permit nothing to keep you depressed or anxious. People that are cheerful and relaxed always are healthier and have longer, happier lives.
"Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do , do all to the glory of God." 1 Corn 10:31
A misuse of the body shortens that period of time which God designs shall be used in His service. By allowing ourselves to form wrong habits, by keeping late hours, by gratifying appetite at the expense of health, we lay the foundation for feebleness. By neglecting to take physical exercise, by overworking mind or body, we unbalance the nervous system. Those who thus shorten their lives by disregarding nature's laws are guilty of robbery toward God. We have no right to neglect or misuse the body, the mind, or the strength, which should be used to offer God consecrated service CH 41
6. AIR
1. Our Almighty made the Air, food for lungs, when He created the firmament on
2nd day of His creation, interestingly before he made living being and living things
2. Our body’s most important nutritional requirement is not protein, carbohydrates, or fats - it is oxygen! Just as fire in a furnace cannot be kept up without enough air to supply the necessary amount of oxygen for the flames, so that fires of life in the body cannot be maintained without an abundance of oxygen in the body.
3. In order to have good blood, we must breathe well. Full, deep inspiration of pure air fill the lungs with oxygen; purify the blood, sending it - a life giving current - to every part of the body. So that the oxygen will go inside the lungs and purify the blood, because blood is our life.
4. Fresh air will prove far more beneficial to sick persons than medicine and is far more essential to them than their food. The most essential element to sustain life is oxygen. Without its presence, life would be impossible.
5. Proper ventilation should be there in the house, especially the bedroom. Avoid shade trees and shrubbery too close and dense around the house. Dampness causes miasma (poisonous vapor) endanger health leads to rheumatism, neuralgia, lungs complaint.
6. Just after eating and also before retiring, go out side and take 18-20 deep breaths using the muscles of the abdomen.
Take full, deep inspirations of air. Do not just fill the top of your chest.
Start the morning with several deep breaths, from time to time through the day repeat this deep breathing practice (exhale strongly).
7. When the day is sunny and warm, take the bedding out. The purifying air and sunlight will do much to sterilize it. Take it back into the house before the dampness of the late afternoon sets in. You will notice that it all smells perfectly fresh.
8. What happen when we take enough fresh air?
* We have good blood and oxygen purifies our blood.
* Fresh air excites the appetite.
* Renders the digestion of food more perfect and induce sound refreshing sleep.
* Life giving current/electrify to every part of the body
* Soothes (calm) the nerves,
9. Air is also great pain killer: Deep breathing reduces pain by lowering the amount of carbon dioxide in the blood and relaxes the entire system. Stomach, liver, lungs, and brain are suffering for want of deep, full inspirations of air.—HL 612
7. REST:
1. “Come ye apart ........ and rest” are the words of Jesus. Are you tired and weary of your daily work? Rest is what you need. Rest includes physical, spiritual and mental rest. Rest repairs & restores our body.
2. Here are some simple principles about rest: One does not always have to sleep in order to rest. Just a change of pace - doing something different can bring to your mind and body.
3. Everyday work is set aside and you take time to think more of God and His blessings seen and felt everyday of your life.
4. You can train yourself to relax, you can stand or sit by an open window or door or walk take several deep breaths. As you do this think thankful thoughts to God in heaven for His blessings. Ask for His help and guidance for the duties just ahead.
5. “Make it habit not to sit up after nine o’clock. Every light should be extinguished. This turning night into day is a wretched, health- destroying habit, and this reading much by brain workers, up to the sleeping hours, is very injurious to health. It calls the blood to the brain and then there is restlessness and wakefulness, and the precious sleep that should rest the body does not come when desired.” Daughters of God,p.177.
6. The greatest remedy for being tired is sleep or rest. The body needs plenty of rest to heal. Sleep is the greatest rejuvenator, and prepares for renewed activity.
7. Sleep is worth far more before than after midnight. Two hours good sleep before twelve o’clock is worth more than four after twelve o’clock....” 7 Manuscript Releases, p.224.
8. On the sixth day God ended His work which he has made, and he rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. Genesis 2:2
Make it [a] habit not to sit up after nine o’clock. Every light should be extinguished. This turning night into day is a wretched, health-destroying habit, and this reading much by brain workers, up to the sleeping hours, is very injurious to health. It calls the blood to the brain and then there is restlessness and wakefulness, and the precious sleep that should rest the body does not come when desired.
It is needful to take care of the body and to study its needs and preserve it from unnecessary exposure. It is a sin to be ignorant of how to care for the wants of this habitation God has given us.
Daughters of God 177.1-2
8. TRUST IN GOD:
1. "Gratitude and trust open the heart the healing powers of God, the energies of the whole being are vitalized, and the life forces triumph.” Ministry of Healing, p. 119
2.“It was evident that there was no healing virtue in the clay, or in the pool wherein the blind man was sent to wash, but that the virtue was in Christ.”
3. “The consciousness of right-doing is one of the very best medicines for diseased bodies and minds.” Ministry of Healing, p. 257
4. Exodus 15:26 “If we diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that is right in his sight and wilt give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healed thee.”
5. Psalms 103:3. “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases.”
Deuteronomy 7:11-15. Says, if we keep His commandment and statutes, the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt.
6. "Gratitude, rejoicing, benevolence, trust in God 's love and care -- these are health's greatest safeguards." My Life Today, pg. 151. (Ellen White).
